My grandson just asked me to make him a Custard Cream BIrthday Cake!! Yours looks brilliant - what did you use for the biscuit - any chance of getting your recipe?

Hi thanks! It's just two vanilla sponges with jam and butter cream in the middle, with icing over the top and then I just put a bit of white icing round the middle to look like the cream that's meant to be in the biscuit! :D

Thanks for sharing that with me -now my grandson has decided he want a chocolate cake with custard cream biscuits attached on and/or around it!!! Think I'll make a chocolate sponge sandwich with a hard chocolate topping and chocolate butter cream round the centre and just stick some on!! Any ideas out there??

I absolutely love this - what a brilliant idea! :D
What delicacy did you use as the 'custard'?

Thanks they are my cousins favourite so i did it for her birthday! Well the 'custard' you can see is just rolled icing put around the middle and inside is buttercream and jam! :D

Brilliant - that accounts for the perfect smoothness of the white custard! I love your idea so much, that I may well have to make giant cake versions of other biscuits...
The possibilities are endless :plotting: :D
